Ho‘ōla Nā Pua Special Presentation

Ho‘ōla Nā Pua is committed to the prevention of sex trafficking and providing care for children who have been exploited.
Thousands of Hawaiʻi’s keiki are actively involved in or are at high risk of
Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC). Sadly, it often takes something unthinkable happening to a child for communities to realize how widespread and pervasive the issue is in Hawaiʻi. We all hope “not on our island,” “not in our school,” and “not to my child.” You work hard to keep your keiki safe and to equip your staff to protect them. Hoʻōla Nā Pua is here to support you to ensure that “not in your community” is a reality.

Hoʻōla Nā Pua is a local, non-profit agency committed to the prevention of sex trafficking and providing care for children who have been exploited. Through our Education Program, we connect directly with students, their parents, their communities, and the professionals charged with their care through a live presentation that answers the questions:

What is CSEC and Human Trafficking?
Who is at risk?
Why is it common in Hawaiʻi?
What are the warning signs?
What are the dangers of social media, online gaming, and the internet?
How can I get help for myself or somebody else?
